FAQ |

WHAT IS WEDDING HIGHLIGHTS? |
| |
Wedding
Highlights are series of still pictures carefully selected of
the video footage of the event. Titles, |
| |
graphics and music are added the
video footage of the event. Titles, graphics and music are
added and |
| |
presented in a slide show format.
Photographs of the bride and groom during childhood, dating, and
the the |
| |
engagement are also scanned from
in (if provided by the couple) and added to the highlights.
Duration of |
| |
each still pictures are about 4
sec, therefore, 150 pictures runs about 10 minutes. Scanned
Photos counts |
| |
toward total number photos in the
package. |
| |
|
| |
WHAT IS A PERSONALIZED PICTURE
POST CARD? |
| |
A Personalized Picture Post Card
is made by taking a photograph that we've taken from the video
and |
| |
applying it to several different
layout options. (i.e. a centered picture with a calendar
surrounding it, 3 |
| |
pictures in rounded out with text
added, etc...) You can use the postcards for thank you cards,
keepsakes, |
| |
etc. We will show you samples at
your initial meeting. |
| |
|
| |
DO YOU ATTEND THE REHEARSAL? |
| |
Absolutely! It is extremely
important that we learn how the wedding party will be standing
at the ceremony. |
| |
At this point we figure out camera
positioning and ask any last minute questions about the
ceremony. |
| |
|
| |
WHAT ABOUT CHURCH RESTRICTIONS
FOR VIDEOGRAPHERS? |
| |
Many churches have strict
guidelines for the videographer to go by. We have no choice but
to abide by |
| |
these rules. It is important for
you to check with your chosen location and share that
information with us. |
| |
|
| |
I HEARD THAT THERE ARE SOME
FORMAT ISSUES WITH DVDs? |
| |
You are correct. There are two
main formats (DVD+R and DVD-R). Some earlier DVD players may
not play |
| |
the DVD we burn and some DVD
players only play one format. To avoid any last minute
surprises we provide |
| |
you sample DVD prior to the event
to see which format works with your DVD player. Most new DVD
players |
| |
are capable of playing both
formats. |

SOME SAY WIRELESS MIC OFTEN
PRODUCES STATIC? |
| |
Using wireless mic creates its own
set of challenges. Depending on the location and the
surrounding wireless |
| |
mike can produce some static. We
use industry standard Azden WS-Pro and Samson UML 350U1 to
reduce |
| |
the static problems. However, we
still cannot guarantee that the audio during the ceremony will
be static |
| |
free. Capturing vows during the
ceremony is very important therefore we opt for using the
wireless mic |
| |
even though in some cases the
result will be less than perfect. Our other option would be to
use wired |
| |
mic and that is
not practical. |

WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENCES
BETWEEN THE 1-CCD (SONY D8) AND THE 3-CCD (VX2000) CAMERA? |
| |
A CCD is a "charge coupled device"
- the part of the camera that accepts light from the outside
world and |
| |
translates it into the ones and
zeros that form a digital picture or video. A CCD can't detect
color; only |
| |
brightness of
the light striking it. To measure color you have to put a color
filter in front of the CCD. this |
| |
specialized filter is used to
translate the particular shades of gray into red (R), green (G),
and blue (B). the |
| |
combinations of these colors make
up the entire color spectrum. With one CCD (such as Sony D8),
there's |
| |
only so much detail the camera can
take in and some concessions have to be made so that one color
doesn't |
| |
wash out another. The pattern
most often used is G-R-G-B, called the Bayer pattern after Bryce
Bayer of |
| |
Kodak. It is biased toward
producing accurate green colors because the eye is more attuned
to green than |
| |
other colors. Half the photo sites
measure Green, while a quarter measures Red, and the other
quarter |
| |
measure Blue. |
| |
|
| |
With a 3-CCD camera (such as Sony
VX2000) there is actually one CCD devoted to each of the red,
green |
| |
and blue color spectrums. A
special prism is set up to convert the light entering the camera
into the three |
| |
different colors. The colors are
processed separately and then combined into a final image. The
result is |
| |
superb detail and accurate color
representation. Basically, you are paying for three different
cameras rolled |
| |
into one. |

Remember: |

|
| |
During the ceremony the groom will
be wearing a microphone, so you will want to keep the
conversation to a |
| |
minimum (every whisper comes out
on the video) |
| |
|
| |
On the day of the wedding,
you might want to arrange to have light snacks and beverages in
your |
| |
room for you and your attendants,
it may be the only time you get to snack until dinner time (and
you may |
| |
dressing not get the chance
to eat then) |
| |
|
| |
Use your wedding program to
explain items, procedures or traditions that are being carried
out during your |
| |
wedding or reception, your guests
who aren't familiar with your religion or traditions will
appreciate the |
| |
explanation. |
| |
|
| |
If your wedding is being held
outdoors, think about making your program into a fan, or
have your wedding |
| |
favor be folding fans to help your
guests stay cool. (We need all the help we can get in Texas!)
|
| |

nstead of a Bridesmaid luncheon
host a "Spa Day" for you and your attendants. You don't have to
go to |
| |
I a spa, have the spa come
to you. There are therapists out there that will come to you. |
| |
|
| |
Be sure to try out new hair
styles and make-up applications well before the big day, you
don't want to be |
| |
surprised at the last minute. If
you normally don't wear a lot of make-up, don't let someone talk
you into |
| |
wearing way more make-up than
your comfortable with, you want to look like you. Try several
different hair |
| |
styles with your veil/headpiece
and have someone take pictures, so you can compare and pick the
one that |
| |
looks the best |
| |
|
| |
Arrange to have a gift basket
or flowers delivered to both of sets your parents while you

your thoughtfulness |
